Reverend Jerry Falwell is an idiot. I'm watching CNN's Talk Back Live (which I probably should have watch more often) as I heard that "under God" was removed from the Pledge Of Alligence, which excited me. Regardless of my religious views (frankly, I'm in the middle), to uphold the Constitution, God shouldn't be mentioned at all in the Pledge Of Alligence. And when Falwell and others say that it shouldn't be removed because it's unpatriotic to do so, what about the patriotism that comes in upholding the Constitution, which grants us all freedom of speech and freedom of religion? Frankly, I find the Constitution far more patroitic than the Pledge Of Alligence.

I have never, ever said the Pledge Of Alligence. Not because I've chosen not to; we haven't done it. It's simply not done in Minneapolis Public Schools. If we were to do it, I don't think I would. I would choose to sit it out, perferably outside of the room. When it came to choosing high schools, one of the lesser pros I had towards the public high school I'll be going to over the private high school my parents wanted me to go to is that they say the Pledge there. When I toured the private high school, I was quite uncomfortable when they all said it. The point people are bringing up is that people can just sit it out if they want; it's not that easy. When your peers and most teachers are up there saying it, and you're one of the few, if not the only, sitting it out, it's not a good feeling. I felt it when I toured the private school, and if it was excruciating once, imagine the kids who go through that every day.

And really, with grades faltering across the nation, shouldn't making kids feel comfortable at school be the number one goal?

Shamelessly plugging my own projects. Because I can. And my blog, frequented by people who love the work I do (hah!) are the perfect target audience for a site that contains me and the work I do (hah!) in a blog format. Yeah, I got this demographic thing all figured out.

Attic Salt. What more needs to be said? Well, a lot of stuff really, such as a description of the site. Regardless, I stand by my question. Just click the damn link.

You know, I said I don't go to many movies a while back, and since saying that, I've seen more movies than I usually do in a year. That said, I don't win many contests either [crosses fingers].

Yesterday I saw "The Bourne Idenity". It sucked. It was just another stupid action movie that involved people running from the law. I thought it might redeem itself towards the end by having us figure out some big conspiracy theory or have the law kill Matt Damon (or both), but it didn't. Instead, it ended with the law dead and Matt Damon getting the girl (who was hot, and the only way I could stand this movie). Horrible dialogue, horrible acting, horrible movie. It was just plain boring.

But I don't think Minority Report would have been much better.
